We are extremely proud to have been awarded the trophy for "Best Sparkling Wine" at the prestigeous Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2010. The Anura Brut 2008 is the second of our MCC vintages to be released (2006 vintage being the first) and over the past two vintages we have been working on perfecting our elegant, bone dry style of sparkling wine. The 2008 follows our MCC blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir of which 15% is fermented in 3rd and 4th fill French Oak barrels. Half of the Chardonnay is sourced from the Robertson region and the rest is from the estate itself. The Pinot Noir is all grown on Anura. We are very pleased with the trophy, considering our short time in the MCC industry and the fierce competition in South Africa at the moment. This will definately be a wine that Anura will continue to produce in a limited, handmade style.
